The wildlife of Hornstrandir at its best

Just finished a great wildlife trip on Friday. Good small group of people from Wales, England and USA enjoyed the scenery and wildlife for five days in perfect weather.

The first stop was Folafotur in Isafjardardjup Bay, then bird island of Vigur, Adalvik Bay, Hornvik Bay and at last Hesteyri. The guide was Hjalti Karlsson (my brother) a biologist at the Icelandic Marine Institute and we spotted dolphins, minke whales, orcas (killer whales) seals, millions of birds and the infamous arctic fox came for a visit.

The sun shined for the whole trip and the sea was calm but some wind during the day offered perfect sailing when needed.

Here are few photos from the trip and you can book for next year here.
